Maned Wolves
Almost none have heard of this species of wolf. It is called a maned wolf and dwells within South America. This species of wolf looks almost like a fox with it's fur pattern, yet it is very different in it's build. A maned wolf has long, slim legs that make it very tall. Compared to other wolves it is a giant in it's height. Their long limbs are an adaption to their habitat and help them move through the grasses while seeing where they are going. The maned wolf also has a distinctive odor, nicknaming it the "skunk wolf."
Their main diet consists of small to medium sized foods such as rabbits, birds and the occasional fish.
Because of the area they live in, maned wolves do not dwell in packs. Rather, they are either lone or have a mate and or cubs to care for.
